Allison Moorer Duel Rock Music CD Review

Duel is the latest Rock CD released by the very talented Allison Moorer who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Allison Moorer fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one.

Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Duel. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Allison Moorer possesses the characteristic of being able to win you over with her talent alone. The kind of artist I frankly just flat out enjoy listening to.

If you’re a Allison Moorer fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don’t even have to be a fan of Moorer, or even Rock to know is good. This is just good music. Period.

While the entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 4 - Believe You Me, track 8 - When Will You Ever Come Down, and track 11 - Sing Me To Sleep

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - I Ain’t Giving Up On You. Wow!

Is it just me or has DA gone down hill?

When I first joined Deviant Art some time ago the site was full of many good artists, that showed talent, and had a lot of decent work. Now I'm not saying you still can't find good artist there, because I know you can. However lately I've noticed that it has become more and more infiltrated with bad anime. Every time I log on now all I ever see is fan art about the same anime shows, that I find not only unoriginal but just flat out bad.

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. And for the record, I've noticed this too. It kind of went from a forum for artists to a kind of art myspace for 13 year old anime fans to share their doodles with classmates.

That's why I switched to Behance Network. You have to ask to be invited to the network, and they do a better job of screening for professionals.
