Gravity Airbrush Art

Any tips on Airbrushing you can help me with?
I have a new airbrush... it's a single action full metal gravity feed. My cousin is wanting me to do a good job and design on his racing helmet for him. But I need some help in what I am doing... tape or no tape? Stencils? or what. I am new to airbrushing but I am not new to art work. I can use a pencil greatly... can someone please help me?
I hate to say it but you're going to have a heck of a time learning on a single action airbrush. Don't get me wrong, it's possible you'll do very well with it but you'll certainly be in a small group who do.
At this stage stencils and frisket are going to be the best way for you to go. It's going to take a lot of practice practice practice; so break out the art paper, old news papers, etc... and start working on dot and dagger techniques.
As for paints the uro's are great but can't be used inside. I would strongly recommend using E'tac since it's water based and handles very similar to a uro. You can order the E'tac online at http://www.etac-airbrush.com. If you have any questions about the paint or which ones to use you can call thier toll free number and talk with (Bill) the owner of the company directly.
