Art Book
The ninetieth century had tremendous competition for great artisans, and painters. One was George Inness, perhaps the best, although some might debate this. Of course, once you become acquainted by his art, you'll have to agree he was in the top five for sure. To better illustrate this and perhaps persuade you to truly see inside this great painters talents, I'd sure like to recommend a very good art book to you:
"George Inness at the Los Angeles Museum of Art" edited by Nicolai Cikovsky and Michael Quick; Harper and Row Publishers; New York, NY; 1985. ISBN: 0-06-4307107-7
This book perhaps best explains the life and times, and the inspiration behind some of George Inness' best work. Each picture is accompanied by full detail of the scene, and time of his life. Many of the paintings in this book have explanations that go far beyond just what the painting is about, but what the critics, collectors and art world says.
The introduction and first two chapters go into full detail of what made this man such a great painter, from his family, his life and to the times, society, government and thoughts of the day. I seriously doubt if you can find a more comprehensive art book featuring this great artisan.
The authors, editors, and collection inside is truly one of a kind. This is a book no true painter should be without, Inness inspires, and his emotions flow off the canvas into the minds of those fortunate enough to know his work. I hope you too will agree. Please consider it.

White Sea
Mt. Changbai (ever White Mountain)
Mt. Changbai has a wholesome natural environment and ecosystem with world famous precious animals like Northeast Tigers, sikas, sables etc. It's China's typical comprehensive nature existence of world importance.
The Crater Lake: It nestles on Baitoushan (The White- Head Mountain), the main peak of the Changbaishan and is also a border lake between China and Korea. Surrounded by 16 exotic peaks, the lake is the crater of a volcano, filled with blue waters, known as "The Heavenly Lake". The basin-shaped lake, 2155 meters above sea level, and 313 meters deep at maximum, encompasses an area of 9.2 square kilometers. It's a typical high mountain lake. The lake waters keep flowing out, without causing apparent change in its water level. The two white rivers of the upper reaches of the second Songhua River originate here. The inner side of the lake bank is craggy cliffs formed by rough-surface rocks and white pumice stones, which make the Lake resemble a marble bowl carved with uncanny workmanship. The surface of the Lake is smooth as a mirror, with the reflections of grotesque cliffs upon it in numerous exotic shapes.
The Waterfall of Changbaishan:The water of the Heavenly Lake finds its way out through an opening in the northern bank and at a vertical cliff, 1250 meters away, drops 68 meters down with loud rumbles. The Changbai Waterfall hangs in the air like a white ribbon.
The Hot Springs of Changbaishan: At the north side of the White-Head Mountain, there is a group of hot springs coverings an area of over one thousand square meters. Two white rivers wind their ways among the hot springs. The right banks where the mouths of springs concentrate are shrouded in hot misty air all the year round. The springs vary in temperature, with the highest reaching 82 degree Celsius. The hot waters contain hydrogen sulphide and have high medical value.
The Primeval Forests: The vast sea of forests appears mysterious and bizarre. No old sky-piercing trees have ever been felled. Natural-grown upside down trees are covered with moth, and young trees shoot just from the old rotten roots.
Tips:
1. From November to April heavy snows blanket the area. August is the best time to visit.
2. Be sure to set out from your hotel early in the morning, so that you have time to see everything and return. There is no accommodation on the mountain.
3. Bring food and water with you. Exploring the mountain can be exhausting, and there are few food stands in the area.
i am going to be fishing for white sea bass in socal. is the shimano torium 20 a good reel?
i am looking for a reel that is under 300 and i will be fishing for white sea bass in socal. i wan a reel that is strong, and cast well with out backlashes. SHOULD I GET THE SHIMANO TORIUM 20 OR A FINNOR MARQUESA?
Forego the Torium if you're going to be casting. If you REALLY need that much line, then get a 600 or 700 sized TEKOTA. It's comparably priced to the Torium, but it's a MUCH better for trolling/casting than the NON-levelwind Torium.
So, if you're ONLY going to EVER pitch baits...then I suppose the Torium is fine. But if you want to do ANYthing else with it, then I would get a TEKOTA.
Check here: http://www.lakemichiganangler.com/store/Shimano_Tekota_Levelwind_Reels.htm
They are SAFE - I've bought many trout/salmon/steelhead gear there over the last few years. Love the service. Also, TackleWarehouse and other major retailers have them too.

Delta Stencil
Money is tight these days. Even people with advanced degrees are having trouble finding work. Our area is so bad that you need a degree just to interview for a position answering the phone! It's crazy.
That's why I wanted to tell you about an opportunity for you to make some money from home. This is not going to make you a millionaire overnight but it also won't cost you a lot to get started. Most of us can use some extra income and a home business might be just what you need to get back your financial security.
It starts with my new universal stencil maker system. You create your custom design on the computer with the graphics design program of your choice. If you don't have graphics software already, there are many shareware and freeware versions available for free on the internet. After you make your design you print it to a transparency and use my stencil making system to create a reusable universal stencil.
That's right. It's reusable and it can be used for anything you would use any other stencil on. That's why this is such an amazingly great business tool. It has an incredible potential for profit. And not just once but recurring profit. Let me explain.
If you have ever looked into ordering custom glasses or other promotional items you will find that there are many "additional fees". You can't just get 2 champagne glasses or 5 mugs or 4 t-shirts. You have to order a minimum quantity, usually 50 or more, way more than the typical person needs. Then you pay an extra fee to have your design created and made into a stencil. The company you purchased from then keeps that stencil! You do not get to keep the stencil you paid for; They keep it under lock and key. If you ever want to get more items engraved with that stencil you are stuck going through that company and paying whatever they want to charge or you have to pay another company to make a new stencil.
Here's where your new business comes in. You create custom stencils for families, schools, churches, and small businesses. The benefit of ordering the item through you is that you can make the items they need in smaller quantities than they would otherwise be able to get. You can also take larger orders. You go back every so often and give them new ideas to use their stencil on. That's where the recurring income begins. You already have the stencil made. You can reuse it as many times as you need.
There are so many ways to use the stencils to generate income that the possibilities are endless. You can turn just about anything into something special by adding a custom design to it. People pay extra for a custom item. Everyone loves to have things with their name etched on it. The most fashionable jeans have custom designs on them. Custom t-shirts are very popular. A plain t-shirt will run you about $5-10. Add a nice design and the price goes up. Why not cash in on this phenomenon?
Here are a few ideas. You can Sell to:
Schools (Add Names and Numbers to team uniforms)
Bands (Customize Uniforms and Mark Band Instruments and Equipment)
Churches
Restaurants
Political Parties
Flea Markets
Fairs
Fund raisers
Sporting Goods Shops
Card Shops
Commercial Businesses
My favorite thing to do right now is make custom T-shirts. And if you know anything about the "Old Way" of making silk screen printing stencils you will be amazed at just how very easy this new system actually is. You can forget wash-out stations, time-consuming screen stretching, screen gluing, messy emulsions, long drying times, and one-use applications. The UNIVERSAL STENCIL lets you make prints on T-Shirts much faster and easier than silk screen processes, giving you much better profit margins. You can easily make anything any Silk Screen Printing Business can do... And You Can Do It Easier, Faster And Cheaper!
The great thing about having your own home business is that you decide what you produce and how much you want to work. The entire UNIVERSAL STENCIL system easily fits on a card table and each stencil takes just a few minutes to complete.
Best of all, each stencil will make hundreds of marks on T-Shirts and other items such as Glass, Metal, Wood, Fabric, Paper, Plastic, Signs, Cardboard, Leather, Marble, and Ceramics to name just a few. You can use Paint, Glass Etching Cream, Metal Etching Electrolyte and Even Ink to etch, print, or paint on fabric or almost anything!
Are you ready to get creative? There are No Limits!! The Universal Stencil is NON-TOXIC and you use no harmful chemicals for clean up.
So there you have it...A New Stencil Making System that will open up a world of great new possibilities for you and allow you to use your talent and ideas, to have a lot of fun and to make some real money making and selling custom T-Shirts and hundreds of other Art and Craft items. Put your creativity and energy to work for you.
Let your Artistic Ideas flow and enjoy creating things you have put off before as too much work, too complicated, or you needed 100 of the same item. This new system cuts through all of that and frees you up to "Multiply" yourself if you are creating any item or artwork that needs to be "Produced" in almost any quantity.
We specialize in everything you need to permanently mark materials or make your own stencils. Etch on metal or Glass. Create custom permanent stencils. Create custom Rubber Stamps. Make custom ornaments, awards and nameplates. The possibilities are unlimited.
Stencil paint creme dried up..can they be saved?
I inherited some stencil paint creme pots. Lovely colors and most never or slightly used. However, it seems that most of the stencil paint creme has dried up.
Does anyone know how and if it is possible to "rejuvenate" these paints so that they can be used? Would seem like such a waste to throw them out.
These paints are "Delta" craft paints and the stencil paint cremes are concentrated, permanent, oil-based color. Would adding a touch of mineral spirits or a wee bit of paint thinner help?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.
if they are oil-based start by adding 3-4 drops of mineral oil at a time.. use a toothpick or stick to stir .. go slowly its easier to add than to take away.. dont add thinner.. it will break down the paint and become slimy and unusable.

Can you get red poo from eating pink foods?
My son eats through a feeding tube and over the last few days we've been giving him some pink colored formula. Today, both times he has gone poo it has been red. My husband says its from his food, and me well, I can't but think the worst because that is how it usually is with our son. So yah, can it be red from pink foods?
In a child I would agree, but not in an adult or mature system. It can't be actual red, no stronger in color than what goes in, unless he is bleeding, or if there is blood/infection at the tube.

Portfolio Case
I have a graphic design interview on Monday and I have to take in a portfolio, I have awesome pieces...?
and I just purchased a portfolio case with clear sheets to put pieces in for presentation. My question is; How should I layout each piece? Do I affix a label underneath each piece with details? Borders around each piece? Any info or websites I can check to see the proper way to display will be appreciated!
Present your work in the simplest way squared up, mounted on a neutral mounting board (grey, light blue or fawn) nothing fancy like borders as it detracts from the work. I would avoid the description, instead you should describe the piece to the interviewer, you are presenting yourself as much as your work, your attitudes and the way you progress a project are as important, a few short sentences about the client and the project as a whole – practice your spiel first so you don't get tongue-tied and be prepared to answer about the print process, target and number produced (if applicable).
Good Luck
